Takes blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration values. Applies prescribed safety devices to the environment of persons we care for (i.e., braces and splints, etc.). Documents all care provided with written entries in medical records. Assists in maintaining proper infection control procedures. Documents weekly progress toward group and intervention participation. Participates in treatment team meetings and shift change reports. Qualifications PREFERENCES/AGENCY REQUIREMENTS: Preference may be given to those with experience in a long-term care facility. Agency requires a current CNA license. KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of basic nursing assistant procedures and responsibilities. Knowledge and use of infection control techniques. Knowledge of using and maintaining simple nursing equipment (O2, prosthetics, lifts, etc.). Knowledge and use of good body mechanics and proper lifting techniques. Ability to work on a team. Ability to be observant and communicate subtle changes to charge nurses. Ability to use good oral and written communication skills. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate's Degree (typically in Healthcare) Experience: No prior experience is required.
