Description Jennifer Fukumae with Robert Half Finance & Accounting is partnering with a well-established venture investment firm in the Bay Area that is seeking an Accounting Manager to support the management company of a multi-fund investment platform. This role will oversee key accounting operations, including financial reporting, month-end close, and oversight of outsourced accounting providers. The position offers strong visibility to finance leadership and the opportunity to work in a collaborative, high-performing environment within the investment management industry. Responsibilities + Manage the general ledger and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process + Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules + Ensure proper expense allocations across entities, funds, and cost centers + Oversee outsourced accounting and accounts payable processes + Review invoices, coding, and payment batches for accuracy and compliance + Prepare financial statements and management reporting packages + Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense analysis + Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls + Partner with finance leadership on process improvements and special projects Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting + CPA preferred + 6+ years of progressive accounting experience + Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close + Experience working with or overseeing outsourced accounting providers + Background in venture capital, private equity, asset management, or professional services preferred + Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Benefits + Up to 20% annual bonus + Phantom carry plan + 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents + 401(k) with employer match + Health reimbursement account + Generous parental leave + Unlimited PTO If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, feel free to reach out to Jennifer Fukumae at Robert Half Finance & Accounting for additional details.
