Medical Front Desk Receptionist - Position Summary: The Medical Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while managing administrative tasks in a healthcare setting. This role ensures smooth front office operations and supports both patients and medical staff. Key Responsibilities: Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately Verify patient information, insurance details, and maintain accurate records Collect co-pays, process payments, and issue receipts Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR systems) Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow Handle patient concerns with professionalism and confidentiality Manage incoming/outgoing mail, faxes, and office correspondence Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming Required Skills & Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred) Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures (preferred) Proficiency with computers, scheduling software, and EHR systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
