Job Title: Shipping and Receiving SpecialistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Shipping and Receiving Specialist responsible for efficiently handling materials, ensuring safety compliance, and managing inventory within a warehouse environment. The role requires proficiency in operating forklifts and RF scanners, as well as maintaining organized and secure load management.Responsibilities Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) to transport goods, load/unload trucks, and move items to/from storage, production, and dock areas. Perform daily equipment inspections, report issues, wear PPE, identify hazards, and adhere to all OSHA and company safety rules. Use RF scanners or other systems to track inventory, pick and wrap orders, manage stock rotation (FIFO), and complete documentation. Secure loads properly, ensure weight distribution is correct, and stack items in designated locations. Keep the work area clean, tidy, and organized; report machinery needing repair. Essential Skills Proficiency in operating forklifts (sit-down, stand-up). Experience in shipping and receiving. Knowledge of logistics processes. Ability to perform daily safety inspections and compliance checks. Competence in inventory management using RF scanners or similar systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Understanding of FIFO stock rotation. Attention to detail in load management and documentation.
