Forklift Operator Location: Spencer, IA Compensation: $17.25-$18.75 per hour - paid weekly Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00am- 3:00pm Job Type: Temp-to-hire About the Opportunity Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Forklift Operators for a leading third-party logistics company located in Spencer, IA. What You'll Do as the Forklift Operator: Successfully operate a power industrial forklift by moving levers, pressing pedals, and controlling lifting apparatus Perform daily forklift inspections and follow forklift operating guidelines Safely operate sit down forklift trucks to transport, stack, and organize products within the RDC Safely load and unload trucks (receive/process), put-away and pick product, and maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness Ensure accurate and timely movement of product to meet operational goals using scanning equipment Assist in inventory management by following policy and procedures Identify, report, and fix damaged inventory and shortages throughout the day Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while operating forklift trucks Replace forklift propane tank and/or charge batteries, as needed What You Need to Bring to the Forklift Operator Role: High School Diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 1+ years proven experience as a Lift Truck Operator (LTO) working in a similar industry (distribution warehouse) is preferred; additional education may be substituted for years of work experience Powered Industrial Forklift Truck License (we will train and provide certification) Prior SAP scanning experience is a plus Inventory control experience preferred Why You'll Like Working with Doherty Staffing Solutions Enjoy weekly pay, access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
