There will be expense reports, travel planning, hundreds of messages, and endless calendar jockeying, but this job is very much about people. In addition to understanding your executive’s business and priorities inside and out, you’ll also need deep knowledge of the leadership and workings of the different segments and departments across the Disney enterprise. As the “face” of your executive within The Walt Disney Company, your professionalism, loyalty, and demeanor are a reflection of the office and are a key component to its success.Every day as an Executive Assistant is different! On any given day you might:Review your leader’s schedule to build in time for things like thinking and traveling to their next meetingUnderstand the day’s priorities so you can be strategic about how you direct calls and requestsInterface directly with other senior executives and their support teams – your ability to work well with people on all levels is a very important part of this jobCreate complex, multi-city travel itineraries, taking into account time zones, weather delays, traffic and fatigue levelsSchedule meetings and arrange logistics including conference rooms, resources, and video chatsBe ready to throw the entire schedule out the door when an emergency comes up, then pick it up again when the dust settlesHandle extremely confidential and sensitive information, remembering that Disney is a publicly traded companyDraft letters and emails on behalf of your leadersAssist with onboarding new employees to the team – you’ll be the “friendly face” that new employees count on to answer all their questionsHandle large purchase orders and vendor contractsMentor and train other support professionals in hard skills like computer programs and soft skills like teamworkPlan events like town halls, off-sites, and team-building activitiesRequired Qualifications & SkillsAt least 7 years of experience in an executive assistant position supporting senior executives and/or equivalent combination of experienceProven success in partnering and interacting with all levels of employees including Executive LeadershipStrong proficiency with all types of computers, phones, and office equipment, as well as mastery of Microsoft Office programs, SAP, Confluence, Concur, and working in a Windows environmentSharp written and verbal communication skills, including flawless grammar and a rich vocabularyComplete reliability in handling confidential, often highly sensitive informationAbility to prioritize multiple deadlines and deliverables while also dealing with unexpected demandsAbility to build bridges, forge alliances, and encourage people to want to work with youDesire to truly be helpful to your leaders and co-workers, to go above and beyond without being askedVery strong organizational skills and utmost attention to detailPreferred QualificationsPrior experience supporting executives at the C-suite, Executive Vice President or Senior Vice President levelPrior experience supporting an executive who has served on a Board of Directors or experience providing support for board activitiesExperience working at The Walt Disney Company or other large public corporationEducationRequired - Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience#CORP_MEDIAtwdcmediaThe hiring range for this position in New York, New York is $100,100.00 to $134,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
