Quanex is looking for a General Laborer to join our 1st Shift team located in Chatsworth IL. The General Laborer supports daily production operations by performing a variety of manual tasks in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for assisting machine operators, assembling products, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring materials and finished goods are handled safely and efficiently. Schedule: Monday- Friday: 7:00am - 3:00pm.We Offer You! Independent work environment Opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment Dynamic culture & people What Success Looks Like: Perform basic assembly, packaging, and material-handling tasks Load, unload, and move materials or products manually or using equipment Assist machine operators with setup, operation, and troubleshooting Inspect materials and products for quality standards Maintain a clean and organized workspace Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or issues promptly Support other production tasks as assigned What You Bring: Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience a plus Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Must work well with others. Must be able to lift, bend and kneel frequently. The hourly wage for this position is $17.00/hr.
