Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Occupational Health (Part-Time) Schedule: 16 hours per week (split between two sites)Locations: Saginaw & Bay City, MIShift: Flexible days (consistent weekly schedule) Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and proactive Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to support occupational health services across two sites. This role blends clinical care, injury management, employee wellness, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure a safe and healthy workforce. Key Responsibilities Clinical Occupational MedicineDiagnose and treat work-related injuries and illnessesPerform medical surveillance and fitness-for-duty examsConduct return-to-work and disability evaluationsProvide urgent care and basic medical procedures as neededWorkers Compensation & Disability ManagementSupport case management for workplace injuriesPartner on return-to-work planning and employee placementMedical Operations & ComplianceEnsure compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA)Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHRParticipate in audits, safety rounds, and job site evaluationsEmergency Response & SafetySupport and help coordinate on-site emergency response programsAssist in training and oversight of first respondersParticipate in safety committees and workplace assessmentsWellness & PreventionPromote employee health, wellness, and education initiativesSupport programs such as ergonomics, travel medicine, and bloodborne pathogen preventionProvide health coaching and employee support resourcesCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with HR, safety, and operational teams to support workforce healthParticipate in meetings related to safety, disability management, and compliance initiatives Qualifications Required:For NPs: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)For PAs: Master s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant programBoard certification (NP or PA-C)Active, unrestricted state licenseStrong clinical assessment and documentation skillsPreferred:Experience in Occupational Health, Urgent Care, or Emergency MedicineFamiliarity with workers compensation and workplace safety programs Why This Role?
