Assistant Material Handler (Temporary)Location: Near Amsterdam, NY Pay Rate: $20 - $22 per hour Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 1st Shift Position Overview Our client is seeking a dependable Assistant Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations. This temporary role plays a key part in ensuring materials are properly received, tracked, and delivered to production areas, helping maintain efficiency across the facility. Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Handling & Inventory Support Move raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility using appropriate equipment Load, unload, and transport materials between storage and production areas Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with tracking material usage Receiving & Shipping Receive incoming materials, inspect for accuracy and quality, and log into inventory systems Package, label, and prepare finished goods for shipment Inventory Control Conduct cycle counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory levels Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials Support proper storage and organization of materials throughout the facility Collaboration & Process Support Work closely with production and logistics teams to ensure timely material flow Assist with maintaining storage areas and equipment Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste Job Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing environment preferred Strong attention to detail and basic math skills Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities Good communication and teamwork skills Forklift experience is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods Ability to work safely with equipment and follow all safety guidelines To see a full listing of all our open positions, please visit: Recruiting is the region's premier recruiting agency with over 100 years of combined experience in the recruiting field.
