Job Description

Support Team Manager TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc., has an opening in its Wellford, SC office for a Support Team Manager. The successful candidate must be a self-starter, well organized, able to work both independently and as a team member, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Access. Job Responsibilities Operations: Supervise all office operations in support of fulfilling customer orders in full and on-time. Coordinate manpower in designated area in the most efficient, cost effective manner. Ensure effective communication of all key initiatives to encourage a consistent understanding of the reasons for, direction of, and expected results of each initiative. Collaborate with internal (manufacturing, sourcing, customer service, human resources, other segments, etc.) and external customers as needed to meet business objectives. Ensure daily business objectives are communicated and met through accountability to processes and methods, identifying and removing obstacles to success. Employee relations and management: performance reviews, counseling, corrective actions, training, safety, compliance. Lead and/or assist in developing plans for cost reduction, process improvements, labor hour reductions and improving warehouse accuracy/quality processes. Ensure consistent execution of processes, procedures, and policies. Assertively seek solutions at the issues or problems. Continuously improve processes to drive cost reductions and performance improvement. Improve consolidation. Improve mode mix. Reduce the cost of failure. Finance: Assist in controlling expenses. Ensure accurate and timely record keeping, payroll, and attendance. Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, such as inventory accuracy and control, returns, damages, etc. Understand the relationship between decision-making and profitability. Closely manage associates' working hours and activities to minimize overtime and to meet or exceed productivity targets. Generate and update daily reports for the Director of Operations. Safety: Ensure day-to-day management and associate activities are in alignment with the location safety strategy. Monitor safe operation of equipment, compliance with safety regulations, and schedule/conduct safety meetings and associate start up meetings. Ensure warehouse equipment and vehicles are well-maintained and that housekeeping meets company standards. Provide associates with communication, training, feedback, and direction to ensure safe performance. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures. People: Effectively manage change within area of responsibility. Assist with maintaining a positive morale and developing team. Ensure associates are provided with positive work environment and all tools necessary to their success. Recognize individual and team accomplishments. Develop talent for additional duties and/or promotion opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred. 2-5 years of experience in a distribution environment, preferably with SAP/ORACLE system experience and inventory management. 2-5 years supervisory experience. Strong people skills with the ability to influence others at all levels. Self-confident and professional in interaction with others. Self-motivated with strong work ethic. Able to work various shift schedules. Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience is a plus. May require some heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) as well as other moderate physical effort, including bending and stooping.
