Project Accounting Manager Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 Why This Opportunity Stands Out: • High‑growth company with room to advance • Competitive compensation and bonus opportunity • Hybrid flexibility after onboarding • Senior‑level visibility within the organization • Strong team culture with quarterly outings • Opportunity to make a meaningful operational impact Key Responsibilities for the Project Accounting Manager: • Lead and develop the project accounting team (2–4 staff) while actively participating in day‑to‑day billing, AP, and AR processes as the Project Accounting Manager • Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely, accurate creation of pay applications for construction projects • Oversee and execute invoicing for assigned projects, including compliance reporting, lien waivers, customer communication, and subcontractor payments • Build, refine, and maintain scalable processes and procedures—every project has unique complexities requiring strong oversight from the Project Accounting Manager • Interact regularly with clients and subcontractors to resolve billing issues, obtain needed documentation, and ensure strong financial accuracy • Leverage technology and new tools to continuously improve billing workflows and project accounting operations • Support accurate project margins through efficient AP/AR processes and strong coordination with project leads • Coach and mentor team members, ensuring effective training, performance, and professional development • Partner with leadership to support broader financial operations initiatives and process optimization Qualifications for the Project Accounting Manager: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred (not required with strong experience) • 5–7+ years of project accounting experience, ideally within construction • Expertise in construction billing, pay applications, AP, AR, and project assignment workflows • Previous leadership or supervisory experience required • Strong process orientation, attention to detail, and ability to identify improvements • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to interact confidently with project managers, clients, and vendors • Comfortable working onsite after onboarding and transitioning to a hybrid schedule $110K-$140K
