Waste-Water Technician The successful applicant will be responsible for collecting petroleum contact water from 55-gallon drums and other containments at convenience stores and gas stations and transporting it to approved waste facilities for processing while following all regulations and client requirements. Represent and promote MVI Field Services in a courteous and cordial manner, building client confidence and maximum efficiency for the business. Must have a clean driving record and the ability to travel on a regular basis. Essential Functions: Ability to understand and follow instructions in English Be in possession of a valid U.S. driver's license Clean driving record Have a Class B with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement Ability to drive and maintain company service truck Travel weekly, (company absorbs travel expenses) Must complete a pre-employment drug test, physical (including DOT), and comprehensive background check. Complete Class A/B Operator training and certification Develop a working knowledge of client Underground Storage Tank Systems (USTS) components Remain current on State and Federal EPA USTS requirements Perform annual testing on USTS and fuel facilities for compliance Replace components and parts such as decals, gaskets, riser caps and manway covers, etc. Maintain company vehicles and equipment in good operating condition, including having vehicle serviced for preventative maintenance Keep abreast of changes to equipment manufacturers specifications and State UST Regulations Responsible for following company expense policy and submitting all itemized receipts for expenses by the 3rd of each month Submit all reports timely and accurately, including monthly schedules and expenses in the appropriate software systems Must be at least 21 years of age or older Marginal Functions: Ability to lift up to 70 pounds Ability to follow strict safety and technical protocols Able to kneel, stand, lean, bend, sit, walk on uneven surfaces, and drive for long distances Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions Basic computer skills, and ability to navigate applications on Smart Phones Previous maintenance experience preferred Experience using handheld tools Eligible to work in the United States Maintain a professional appearance including wearing company-provided attire Maintain a friendly and positive attitude with client representatives and store personnel Expectations: Drivers are expected to pick up/drop off based on assigned route within the assigned timeframe Accurately report on waste moved using company provided smartphone Be reliable Have attention to detail and outstanding work ethic The statements contained herein reflect the general details as necessary to describe the functions of this position and the level of knowledge and skill typically required, and the general scope of responsibility, but should not be considered an all-inclusive list of the job requirements.
