Job DescriptionPosition Title: Forklift Operator Wage: $20.00/hour QPS Employment Group is hiring a Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate for a company in Newton, IA. This is an associate-to-hire opportunity with a stable company and a great fit for candidates who enjoy warehouse work, forklift operation, and staying active throughout the shift. Position Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for operating a stand-up forklift, loading and unloading deliveries, moving product throughout the warehouse, and preparing orders for shipment. This position also involves inspecting incoming materials, using handheld scanners, and helping maintain a clean and organized work environment. Forklift Operator Responsibilities: - Operate a stand-up forklift to move, load, and unload product - Use a handheld scanner to scan orders in and out for shipment - Verify incoming parts against purchase orders - Package and prepare materials for safe transportation - Inspect materials for damage or defects and identify any non-conforming product - Rotate and stock materials as needed - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment Requirements for Forklift Operator: - Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred - Ability to read and write in English - Comfortable using handheld scanners and warehouse systems - Strong attention to detail and safety awareness - Dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs repetitively throughout the shift - Ability to stand for 8-10 hours at a time - Ability to bend, twist, pull, crouch and perform repetitive hand movements - Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment IND097 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
