POSITION TITLE: Material Handler CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt POSITION OVERVIEW: ADB is a Nationwide full turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions including Wireline, Wireless, Technology, P&I and Engineering. ADB is seeking an Inventory Specialist to provide general handling, tracking and organization support of various utility construction materials and equipment within a warehouse and/or construction yard setting. This position directly supports construction operations teams with all material handling functions as well as provides complex tracking and pricing support upon request. The ideal candidate will be customer and quality centric, have a complete buy-in to safety, with a strong work ethic, and ALL IN attitude to achieve results. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs general manual labor moving materials, tools, and equipment within a construction yard and/or warehouse environment including loading, unloading, organizing, etc. Strong relationship skills to be a dependable partner to internal crews and external subcontractors for all their material/equipment needs; ensures follow up and accuracy of usage and the return of unused materials Ability to safely operate a forklift, backhoe, and/or other various equipment Upon request, delivers various construction materials, tools and/or equipment onsite to active project sites Has general knowledge and experience of various utility construction materials to ensure accuracy on issuing out equipment Adheres to all material and equipment tracking standards and expectations Maintains yard and shop cleanliness that could include; trash pickup, mowing, weed eating, shoveling, sweeping, office cleaning, etc. Provides inventory management support to an operation team that could include; sourcing, price negotiations, tracking, organization and delivery Tracks supplier invoicing, approvals and PO creation within ADB systems in support of the management team upon request Creates and implements inventory tracking systems utilizing various electronic tools and databases Supports the management team to help create standard operating procedures to ensure inventory controls Utilizes data analytics and reporting skills to provide complex reporting and/or real time information regarding materials and equipment Provides guidance and leadership to other material handlers within the team Safety is the expectation; complete buy-in and adherence to the safety culture and expectations by leading by example and actively participating in pre-task, good catch and safety assessment standards within the organization Performs other position duties when requested SUCCESS FACTORS: A strong belief in ZERO- Being Safe 100% of the time is the expectation Alignment with company mission, vision, and values A high level of customer centricity Strong work ethic with an ALL-IN attitude Strong attendance record Strong team player with the ability to adapt to diverse team members Ability to perform in a fast paced/high volume environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills A high level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skills Ability to be organized, problem solve, and be solution oriented Self-motivated, goal- oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals Strong data tracking and analytics skills Proficient Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.). WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc. May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsite This is a safety sensitive position; when working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: 3+ years of experience within a Material Handling/Logistics and/or Inventory position required Previous experience within utility construction preferred Valid driver license with the ability to drive a company vehicle required (CDL strongly preferred) Forklift Certification strongly preferred (ability to obtain within 90 days of hire required) High School diploma or equivalent required The starting pay for this position is [X amount] and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
