Receiving Technician American Construction Materials (ACM), a strategic business unit of ABC Supply, produces a wide array of metal building materials including trim coil, edge metal, gutter systems, and a variety of other metal accessories. Specific Duties Include: Unloading and loading trucks using forklifts and other powered equipment Making transactions using an Inventory Management System (JDE) Checking incoming materials against packing slip Inspecting and labeling incoming material and moving it to proper location Prioritizing the processing of materials Cycle Counting Receiving and determining the disposition of returned goods Organizing and disposing of damaged goods including proper JDE transactions Picking, labeling, and returning products to shipping dock as required Any other tasks deemed necessary during the course of the day Qualifications Include: Excellent organization skills Superior attention to detail Experience working with distribution software is a plus Previous warehouse and forklift experience is preferred Physical Demand: Associate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day. Work Environment: 100% manufacturing setting Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes. Associate will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery.
