Duties & Responsibilities The Field Labor Scheduler is responsible for the day-to-day execution of labor scheduling and field workforce coordination across all active projects. This role physically maintains, updates, and distributes daily labor schedules and master project labor plans to ensure projects are properly staffed and aligned with operational priorities. Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Create, maintain, and distribute daily the labor schedules for all active projects. Maintain the master project labor schedule, ensuring accuracy and visibility across operations. Review Sales Schedule Requests and assign jobs to the master schedule in alignment with availability, production capacity and delivery commitments. Adjust labor assignments in real time based on project needs, weather, manpower availability, and field conditions. Communicate proactively with Field Managers and other stakeholders to address project changes, timeline adjustments, and production and completion expectations. Assign Field Managers to projects based on workload, skill sets, project complexity, and operational priorities. Assign field crews to projects in alignment with labor plans, security requirements, schedules, and approved estimates. Balance manpower across projects to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime or labor shortages. Coordinate with Sales and Field Managers to understand manpower needs, project status, and upcoming project requirements. Coordinate job readiness to ensure projects are properly staffed, trained, cleared, and prepared for execution. Review project documentation to ensure alignment between scope, labor planning, and execution. Participate in and support weekly project progress meetings with Field Managers, assisting or leading as necessary to ensure successful and timely project completion. Support billing and job costing efforts by providing accurate labor schedules, project progress updates, and man-hour tracking information as needed. Support payroll accuracy by ensuring labor schedules align with reported time. Maintain organized scheduling records and documentation. Assist with tracking daily manhours across projects. Identify upcoming labor gaps or staffing risks proactively. Support field labor hiring to stay ahead of project workload demands and ensure sufficient staffing to support current and future projects. Assist and attend weekly, monthly, and quarterly operation meetings with field personnel. Utilize scheduling and operations software to manage labor assignments and project schedules. Identify system or process issues impacting scheduling accuracy or efficiency and assist with resolution. Follow established scheduling procedures and continuously improve execution efficiency. Promote and maintain a safety-first culture by identifying potential risks, implementing proactive safety measures, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Remain informed of ongoing injury case management. Provide follow-up and coordination support on an as-needed basis. Competencies Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to quickly learn scheduling and operational software. Flexibility to work nights and weekends as business needs demand. Ability to maintain an active state issued driver's license.
