The primary responsibility of this position is to process incoming payments and deposits in accordance with established banking procedures customer specifications, including document review and interpretation, data entry for posting funds to customer accounts, transmitting account information to internal departments and customers, and transaction balancing and reconciliation. Duties include the recognition and processing of sensitive information protected by various regulations, requiring adherence to specialized secure procedures. This position performs all tasks and functions required within the Lockbox process.Review incoming documentation, determine appropriate banking action, identify sensitive protected information, troubleshoot and resolve minor data discrepancies, prioritize processing order based on deadlines and volumeEnter deposit and payment data into appropriate systems in accordance with established banking procedures and customer specifications; balance and reconcile accounts, flag and reject problematic transactionsTransmit and upload account and transaction data to internal departments through various applications, issue internal account completion notifications, compile and transaction and account statements for customers and issue related notificationsRecord, import, upload and reconcile credit card payments, remove denied/invalid entries from batch totals, resolve reprocessing requests and report transaction totals to the customerIdentify and secure sensitive protected information (medical and credit) in accordance with internal procedures and applicable regulations, process payments through appropriate protected channelsSort, assemble, package and ship processed materials in accordance with customer requirements, follow procedures established by preferred delivery vendorsAdvise junior staff on departmental processes, procedures and prioritization; resolve minor escalated transaction issues EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent.
