As a Senior Transportation Director, you will be responsible for a variety of projects, taking ownership from start to finish.What are the core responsibilities for the role?Manage and lead Horrocks design teams to deliver transportation projects.Identify, pursue, and win new transportation engineering opportunities within the public and private sectors.Develop and track scope, budget, and schedules for transportation projects to successfully deliver projectsSolicit and manage subconsultant engineering servicesInterface with public and private sector clients including state and municipal agenciesCoordinate and conduct meetings with project stakeholdersCoordinate with office management and other project managers to share resourcesManage Quality Control/Quality Assurance activities per Horrocks' Quality ProgramCultivate client relationships and pursue business development opportunitiesQualifications, Skills, and Competencies:Bachelor of Science degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineering license in AZ15+ years of Project Management & Business Development ExperiencePreferred 10+ years of DOT experienceDemonstrated experience delivering transportation projects for DOTs, municipalities, counties, or regional agencies.Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other officesPossess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgetsSolid written and oral communication skillsOutstanding interpersonal and customer service skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency with MS Office applicationExperience with project accounting practices and systemsKnowledge and experience with Open Roads Designer, InRoads and/or Geopak, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineeringExperience in managing technical staff and project teamsAbility to manage several projects concurrentlyWhy would a candidate want this job?At Horrocks, you can expect a competitive base salary and award-winning benefits.
