Check out our web page We are seeking a detail-oriented and execution-focused Freight Coordinator to support transportation operations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of shipments, ensuring freight moves efficiently from origin to destination using our broker network, internal ERP system, and established processes.This position is remote eligible after onboarding, with approximately one month of onsite training required.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor ERP systems and internal communications for transportation requestsSecure truck capacity through an approved broker network based on timing and service requirementsManage the full shipment lifecycle from booking through delivery confirmationTrack shipments in transit and proactively communicate delays, risks, or changes to stakeholdersEnsure proper receipt of loads and complete shipment records through billing and invoice processingMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, rates, carriers, and broker activitySupport lane pricing strategy through recurring RFP processes and periodic quote comparisonsSolicit competitive quotes for non-RFP lanes to maintain cost efficiencyFollow company freight procedures, escalation protocols, and documentation standardsCollaborate with internal teams to align transportation with operational schedules and prioritiesIdentify process gaps, cost issues, and service improvement opportunities within the freight networkCore Focus of the RoleThis is an execution-driven role focused on ensuring shipments are properly booked, actively managed in transit, and fully closed out after delivery. Strong ownership and follow-through are critical to prevent gaps in shipment visibility or billing.QualificationsExperience in freight coordination, logistics, transportation, dispatch, or brokerage operationsComfortable working in a computer-based environment for extended periodsAbility to learn and operate within ERP systems and internal toolsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active shipmentsExcellent attention to detail and follow-up disciplineClear communication skills with brokers, carriers, drivers, and internal stakeholdersAbility to evaluate rates and service options while balancing urgency and costSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentRequirementsPreferred QualificationsExperience with ERP, TMS, or logistics tracking systemsFamiliarity with broker networks, carrier sourcing, and lane pricing strategiesExperience with freight billing, invoice reconciliation, and shipment closeoutBackground supporting constructn, events, industrial, or project-based operationsWork ArrangementRemote eligible after onboardingApproximately one month of onsite training requiredSuccess ProfileThe ideal candidate is process-driven, responsive, and takes full ownership of shipments from request through final billing.
