Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Logistics Specialist executes day-to-day freight operations across brokerage and cross-dock networks. This role is responsible for accurate load entry, shipment tracking, carrier communication, and billing support to ensure efficient and compliant freight movement.Key Responsibilities: Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.Transportation Execution & Customer ServiceSupport loads from creation through delivery and invoicing (BOL, POD, documentation)Perform high-volume data entry in TMS/AS400 systemsTrack shipments and provide status updatesSource, vet and manage carrier capacity in alignment with brokerage standardsCarrier ManagementCommunicate with carriers and customers to resolve issuesExecute carrier onboarding and compliance verificationValidate accessorial charges and end of load obligationsAssist with billing, invoicing, and reconciliationEducationMinimum high school diploma or GEDPreferred Bachelor's degree in applicable fieldExperience1-3+ years of transportation, logistics, or brokerage experience (3+ preferred) with strong knowledge of load lifecycle management and brokerage workflows.Working ConditionsAbility to sit and type at a computer station for prolonged period of time.Cross-dock environment with exposure to warehouse and yard operations.Ability to operate/use multiline style telephone.Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Monday through FridayMust be able to execute all the above functions and meet all the above demands safely, posing no threat to themselves or those around them while doing so, and must willingly comply with applicable safety regulations in the completion of all work.Requirements Tact with negotiationStrong work ethicMust be internet/computer literatePast customer service experience is an advantageGood planning and scheduling skillsSelf-motivated Responsible and dependable with the willingness to learnAbility to work in a fast-paced, multi-location environment with competing prioritiesAbility to speak, read, and write English proficiently DisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job.
