Job Purpose: CROM has a growing fleet of 100+ vehicles, most of which are construction grade pickups (F-150's, F-250's, F-350's with trailers) but also includes passenger vehicles and a small quantity of heavy trucks. This position will require someone with large multi-vehicle fleet experience.This position leads and oversees efforts to promote safe vehicle use practices, vehicle maintenance, and cost control. The Fleet Manager is responsible for the procurement and distribution of fleet vehicles, performing analysis, auditing, training, and research to support company goalsEssential Duties and Responsibilities Possess exceptional leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.Must possess the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.Possess proficiency with fleet management software, telematics, and data analysis.Utilize data analytics to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.Perform internal audits, communicate results, and recommend corrective actions.Oversee the purchase and distribution of company vehicles.Develop standard operating procedures and process flows.Possess an understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair.Coordinate in the implementation of operational changes as required.Make recommendations regarding policy and work practice revisions.Possess an analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities.Coordinate and manage fleet operations across multiple CROM satellite locations.Lead or support additional fleet- and DOT-related projects as assigned.Coordinate and oversee fleet safety initiatives and training..Ensure quality, compliance, and safety of company's assetsSupport satellite locations with the implementation of corrective actions.Develops, manages, and oversees fleet maintenance and operating budgets.Reviews and approves fleet-related expenditures, invoices, and vendor costs.Analyzes cost trends and implements strategies to reduce total cost of ownership.Develops and oversees preventive maintenance programs to maximize fleet uptime and asset lifeTracks vehicle lifecycle data and recommends repair, replacement, or retirement of assetsLeads and manages vehicle accident reporting, investigations, and root cause analysis.Coordinates with Risk Management, Insurance, and Legal teams as needed.Oversees third-party maintenance vendors and service providers, including performance, compliance, and cost controlImplements corrective actions following incidents to prevent recurrenceEnsures fleet compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and applicable state and federal regulationsSupports driver safety training and enforcement of fleet policiesPerforms other fleet management duties consistent with the scope and responsibility of the positionPreferred Qualifications and Experience3-5 years of fleet management experienceExperience with Third-Party Maintenance ProgramsPossess an associate degree or a bachelor's degreePrevious work experience in transportation industriesOther requirementsMicrosoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to learn Costpoint software.Ability to learn Samsara software.Ability to learn Enterprise Fleet Management software.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity, and professionalism.Be able to obtain DOT and Hazmat certifications.Certifications: OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPRWorking ConditionsWork is performed in a typical office environment and may require standing, bending, lifting boxes or packages under 10 lbs., and sitting for long periods of time.Must wear appropriate work attire including work boots and PPE.May be exposed to the elements.May be exposed to hazardous materials.May be exposed to frequent loud noises.May be exposed to dangerous machinery.Generally, works five 8-hour days, although overtime may occurAvailability to respond to fleet-related emergencies or breakdowns outside normal business hours as needed.Regular travel to satellite locations is required.
