Job Description

The Transportation Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the transportation department including supervising the Transportation Coordinators, Drivers, Program Assistants, and Volunteers. The Transportation Supervisor ensures the department runs efficiently and adheres to all safety measures.Directly supervises transportation coordinators, drivers, and volunteers.Participate in the on-boarding process along with selection of employees through the interview process.Develop and provide uniform training for coordinators, drivers, program assistants, and volunteer drivers.Ensures all fleet vehicles including those used by volunteers are clean, in good condition, and safe.Completes timely reviews of all staff/volunteers in the department.Oversees flexible, feasible and efficient transportation schedules for all vehicles.Manages daily schedules to assure efficient transporting of children/families to various appointments from varied locations statewide.Maintains open line of communication with transportation and office staff, including other supervisors.Works with team to resolve scheduling conflicts.Monitors agency car utilizationFamiliar with atlas and map usage to assure best use of resources.Serves as a back-up for transportation coordinators.Monitors transport to ensure client transport is timely and accurate.Schedules 24-hour coverage for the transportation departmentMakes sure all transportation paperwork is completed in a timely manner.Implements SFM policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent SFM Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), rules, personnel policies, and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms.Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures.Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels.Ensures clients' rights are protected.Bachelor's degree preferredCPR/First AidTwo years related experience as dispatcher or general office experience; Prior child transportation experience required.Must be 21 years of age.Must pass a drug screen, DFPC and Child Abuse and Neglect Registry Clearance check.Lifting requirements of 50 lbsMust have valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
