Transportation Coordination ●Manages the transportation function of the school system including route design, student assignments, daily issues, validation and efficiency assessments, and relationships with transportation vendors. ●Approve and track transportation spending ●Assist with completion of annual Circuit Breaker reporting ●Assist with bid preparation, budget forecasting and tracking, managing proper use of Grant and Revolving accounts as they relate to Transportation. ●Manages the One Call Now emergency communication system, updating contacts and scheduling broadcasts. ●Is an active member of the District Security team. ●Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the School Business Manager and/or Superintendent of Schools Facilities Coordination * Receives and approves Use of Facility forms for all schools except Tewksbury Memorial High School * Distributes approved Use of Facility forms to appropriate parties * Responsible for adhering to all School Committee policies regarding Use of School Facilities, including but not limited to: Collection and Deposit of all associated fess, compliance with applicable Insurance Requirements, enforcement of all other policies violations * Works with School Personnel to ensure proper Use of Facilities * Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the School Business Manager and/or Superintendent of Schools Supervision Scope: Perform highly responsible work of a complex nature which involves the exercise of sound independent judgement and initiative in planning and overseeing these functions in the School Department Supervision Received: Work is performed under the direction of the Business Manager and the Superintendent of Schools. Experience with School Transportation routing, mapping, applicable laws and regulations preferred. Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of School Transportation. Ability: Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with organizations, departments and officials. Sound independent judgement, initiative and decision making. Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate effective services, facilities, and staff. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Skill: Excellent planning and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and ability to comprehend and use other computer software applications. Solid Interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential.
