Job Description

Shift: Monday - Friday 7am to 3:30pmPosition Purpose: Under the direction of the QA Lead and Supervisor, the Shipping Document Inspector oversees the quality of shipping documents, defined by Quality Engineering in conjunction with customer requirements and Vaupell QMS.Essential Duties and responsibilitiesInspect shipping documents using records and the MRP systemProvide feedback on documentation and ensure requirements are metVerify and review material certificationsTrack metrics related to document errorsGenerate the Certificates of Conformance (CoC)Perform shipping document buy-offsSuggest improvements to shipping processesSupport the key departmental initiativesAssist with the administration of Corrective and Preventative ActionsMaintain quality recordsEmbrace a continuous improvement environment and encourage changes that result from improvement effortsOther duties as assigned. Job Qualifications/RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalentBasic math, problem solving & computer skillsKnowledge and use of Microsoft OfficeExcellent attention to detailGood interpersonal and communication skillsWorks well individually or within a teamAbility to understand and read/write in EnglishAbility to read aerospace drawings, blueprints and specifications are a plusKnows when to seek clarification on problemsCandidates must be a "US Person" (i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensure Vaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations) Environmental ConditionWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
