Summary The Flight Operations Director provides high-level administrative, operational, and financial support to the Flight Operations department. This role serves as a central coordination point between students, employees, leadership, and external partners, ensuring efficient daily flight-school operations, accurate financial tracking, regulatory compliance, and effective communication across campus and flight partners. Essential Functions * Interact with campus employees, students and external contacts to provide information, resolve routine issues, and respond to inquires professionally. * Attend key operational and management meetings and prepare agendas, minutes, follow-up items, and reports as needed * Assist students with account balances, billing questions, and general financial inquiries * Oversee scholarship funds, student reimbursements, and money-on-account activity. Identify, research, and resolve billing discrepancies * Send student balance statements and activity reports upon requests. Run reports to identify and deactivate inactive students * Process disbursement requests related to student loans and send monthly loan billing statements to students * Submit purchase orders and prepare monthly invoices to business partners in accordance with Spartan policies. Track and report discovery flight and campus tour activities to present findings to executive leadership * Maintain Federal Aviation Administration and other regulatory agency files, documentation, and organizational charts * Resolve campus facility and operation matters. Prepare confidential correspondence and escalate issues to appropriate leadership, if necessary * Develop and monitor trends related to student enrollment, retention, and flight-school operations * Assist other team members with student-related matters including student activities, testing coordination, business office receipts, complaints, and facilities issues * Supervise, manage, and hire the dispatcher and line technician teams
