In this role, you will analyze commercial HVAC mechanical plans, identify required roof curbs, adapters, and accessories, and generate accurate material lists and quotes. This back-office estimating role focuses on reviewing online plans and producing repeatable take-off quotes, typically completed within 20 25 minutes per plan. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive take-offs from commercial mechanical (M-series) and architectural drawings.Identify the correct roof curbs, adapters, and accessories required for each project.Cross-reference HVAC unit model numbers (Carrier, Trane, etc.) with specific curb/adapter footprints.Calculate material requirements including sheet metal gauge and insulation needs.Generate accurate and competitive price quotes for customers.Collaborate with sales and production teams to ensure custom-manufactured components meet project specifications.Maintain organized records of quotes and project information in internal tracking systems. Required Experience 2 years of experience in construction estimating, HVAC parts distribution, or sheet metal fabrication.Experience reading commercial mechanical blueprints and construction drawings.Experience working with repetitive plan reviews and quoting processes. Nice-to-Have Experience Experience with HVAC curb or adapter products.Exposure to HVAC manufacturing or fabrication environments.Experience supporting internal sales or production teams. Required Skills Blueprint reading and mechanical plan take-off analysis.Strong attention to detail when reviewing drawings and specifications.Ability to identify discrepancies that could lead to manufacturing errors. Preferred Skills Experience with take-off software such as Bluebeam or PlanSwift.Basic HVAC equipment knowledge.Understanding of commercial roofing terminology.Estimating and quoting experience in construction or manufacturing environments. Additional Skills Cross-referencing HVAC unit model numbers with curb footprints.Generating Bills of Materials (BOMs).Maintaining internal project and quote documentation.Supporting sales and production collaboration.
