We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our team in our new location in Riverton, UT.Position SummaryThe Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company and customer requirements. This role supports production and customer fulfillment by coordinating material flow, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring proper documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesReceivingReceive incoming materials, components, and supplies; verify quantities and inspect for damageCompare shipments against purchase orders and packing slipsAccurately enter receipts into ERP/MRP systemsLabel and store materials in designated locationsCommunicate discrepancies to purchasing and suppliersShippingPrepare and package finished goods and materials for shipmentGenerate shipping documents (BOLs, packing lists, labels)Coordinate shipments with carriers (LTL, parcel, freight)Ensure on-time shipments to customers and internal locationsVerify accuracy of outgoing ordersInventory & CoordinationMaintain accurate inventory through proper transactions and handlingAssist with cycle counts and inventory auditsCoordinate with production, purchasing, and customer service teamsEnsure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and proper material handling practicesMaintain clean and organized shipping/receiving areasCompliance & SafetyFollow company safety procedures and OSHA guidelinesEnsure compliance with shipping regulations (domestic and international if applicable)Properly handle hazardous materials (if applicable and trained)QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent2+ years of shipping/receiving experience, preferably in manufacturingExperience with ERP/MRP systemsFamiliarity with shipping software (e.g., UPS, FedEx, or similar systems)Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, email)Skills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and accuracyOrganizational and time management skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentGood communication and teamworkProblem-solving skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift 25–50 lbs regularlyFrequent standing, walking, bending, and liftingAbility to operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack – certification preferred)Preferred Qualifications (Optional)Forklift certificationExperience with barcode scanning systemsKnowledge of international shipping and export documentationLean manufacturing or 5S experienceWork EnvironmentWarehouse and manufacturing floor environmentExposure to moving equipment, noise, and varying temperatures Job Posted by ApplicantPro
