Salary: See Position DescriptionLocation : Honolulu, HIJob Type: Full-Time TemporaryJob Number: 2026-00655Department: University of Hawai'i at Manoa - College of Social Sciences - Urban and Regional PlanningOpening Date: 03/24/2026Closing Date: 4/9/2026 11:59 PM HawaiiPosition Number:: 0096723TDescription Title: Operations CoordinatorPosition Number: 0096723THiring Unit: C OF SOC SCI, URB & REG PLAN DEPT, URB & REG PLAN DEPTLocation: UH at ManoaDate Posted: 03/24/2026Closing Date: 04/09/2026Band: BSalary: Full Time/Part Time: Full-timeTemporary/Permanent: TemporaryDuties and Responsibilities:*Serves as Operations Manager for the University of Hawaii (UH) at Manoa National Disaster Preparedness Training Center (NDPTC) of the Social Science Research Institute.*Serves as primary liaison for NDPTC daily operations and communications.*Manages core personnel operations, including supporting recruitment activities, coordinating onboarding processes, reviewing and approving timesheets, and ensuring adherence to guidelines and organizational policies.*Provides comprehensive administrative, fiscal, and operational support for NDPTC, including but not limited to, budgeting, financial reporting, procurement, travel, and inventory.*Resolves operational and administrative matters in accordance with current policies, procedures and directives.*Recommends appropriate priorities, communicates and coordinates priorities across relevant parties, tracks and follow ups on pending items, and moves priorities forward.*Ensures a professional, effective, and efficient work environment by developing and maintaining effective administrative workflows and Standard Operating Procedures for communication, scheduling, filing, and electronic document tracking.*Coordinates meetings sponsored by NDPTC by scheduling, planning, and overseeing logistical arrangements and supports the Center with larger special events.*Provides technical and administrative advice, interpretations, and/or makes effective recommendations regarding applicable policies, procedures and other administrative requirements to the project staff and Principal Investigator (PI).*Works with both UH and Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii (RCUH) fiscal and human resources staff to meet program needs/requirements.*Keeps abreast of changes in applicable administrative and fiscal policies and procedures.*Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and other guidelines.*Trains staff and student workers in overall NDPTC operations, workflow, processing of financial documents, and other tasks as needed.Other duties as assigned.*Denotes essential functionsMinimum Qualifications:Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, or related field and 3 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for program management, program administration, and/or organizational management;
