Job Type Full-timeDescriptionFLEET FOREPERSON Reports To: General Manager Department: Vehicle Maintenance Status: Full Time/Year-RoundPay Rate: $28 - $36 per hourPosting date: 3/8/26POSITION SUMMARY: The Fleet Foreperson position is responsible for ensuring that the GR Operations fleet and maintenance shop is in good repair and ready for daily operations. This position ensures that equipment is properly maintained and documents all work. The Fleet Foreperson is part of the Mountain Operations Team and assists regularly with snowmaking operations, snow removal, parking, golf maintenance, and more as needed. Fleet consists of snowcats, heavy equipment, ATV/UTVs, snowmobiles, trucks, sander, bucket truck and more. Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, heavy equipment, tracked vehicles is required.Requirements ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Performs and documents daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance on all GR motorized equipment as required for the type of machine or vehicle.Documents all maintenance and repair work performed.Maintains shop, vehicle lift, equipment, fuel, oil, lubricants, to OSHA standards; keeps up to date MSDS sheets, plowing and sanding tracking.Ensures adherence to safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipmentInspects completed work to guarantee compliance with quality standardsImplements and enforces shop policies and proceduresManages expense and labor budget, maintain timely communication with Finance and GM regarding expendituresSchedules and performs equipment maintenanceRecruits, hires, trains and directs mechanics including performance reviews and documentationEnsures compliance with regulationsManages resources, workflows, and quality controlEnsures smooth operations with planning, execution, timely communication with department managers and General ManagerLearns snowmaking system and assists with execution of snowmakingAssists with maintenance and repair as needed in pump stations, removes and reinstalls pumps as needed for rebuilds and repairADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervises and coordinates staff and workflows within the shopMay include approving timecards for bi-weekly payroll submissionEstablishes productive working relationships with operations management team, development team, and golf superintendentCoordinates with management to understand work requirements and deadlinesSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:Minimum 5 years' experience with diesel engines and hydraulics requiredMinimum 3 years' experience gas engines, 2 stroke engines, UTV, ATV, snowmobiles preferredExperience with snowcat maintenance strongly preferredAbility to operate heavy equipmentStrong knowledge of safety regulations and proceduresAbility to prioritize work in accordance with operational needsStrong communication skills both verbal and writtenWorking knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook - email communication requiredEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS:Proven experience as a Shop/Fleet Foreperson or similar roleExcellent troubleshooting, diagnositic and problem solving skillsProficiency with tools, machinery, and equipment used in the industryPhysical condition to work in extreme weather conditions at high altitudeHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredValid CO Driver's License requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and be on feet for an 8-10 hour shiftDexterity for utilizing keyboard and near, peripheral, and distance visionVerbal and auditory abilities necessary for communication with othersThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications associated with the job.
