Learn more at Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Central Station Operator to join our fire business unit.Primary Responsibilities:Answer burglar and fire alarm signals received via computerEffectively dispatch emergency alarms Coordinate activities with police and fire departments during alarmsPlace alarms in and out of test mode while technicians are servicing alarmsNotify customers of alarm, trouble and supervisory signals on subscribers' premisesMonitoring of all types of alarm signals including but not limited to surveillance videosData entryEffectively communicate with customersMultitask and manage prioritiesContact supervisor by telephone to report irregularities and obtain further instructionsBasic QualificationsHighschool Diploma or GEDCustomer Service ExperienceAbility to handle multi phone lines and high volume of incoming callsAbility to work weekends and holidaysPreferred QualificationsExperience as a central station operatorAbility to use judgement and decision making skills to evaluate situationsAbility work under stressful situationsActively listen and communicate effectively through clear speech and hearingSalary: $20-$25.00 an hourDisclaimer: This job description should not be construed to imply that these requirements are the exclusive standards of the position.
