The University seeks an academic leader who can articulate and advance a creative vision for the future of the School of Nursing; align strategic goals with the university's mission; ensure program compliance and academic excellence; and foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing academic environment.Teaching Areas:The candidate may be assigned to teach one or more of the following areas based on expertise and departmental needs:Childrearing (Pediatrics)Childbearing (Obstetrics)Adult Health (Medical-Surgical)Psychosocial/Mental Health NursingDidactic and/or clinical instruction is required based on full-time or adjunct status. Clinical teaching may include weekday, evening, and weekend shifts.Essential Duties and ResponsiblitiesProvide day-to-day operational oversight of the Langston campus nursing programLead and coordinate all faculty and student activities at the site to ensure program continuity and qualityOversee curriculum delivery, implementation, and evaluation in collaboration with program facultyMonitor course syllabi, instructional quality, and clinical experiences for consistency and alignment with program standardsConduct regular program assessments and lead continuous quality improvement initiativesLead strategic planning and goal setting in coordination with the Dean and broader nursing leadershipAssists in preparing and submitting reports for accreditation bodies (e.g., ACEN), the Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN), and internal university officesEnsure site compliance with accreditation, state, and federal regulationsDevelop and maintain productive partnerships with clinical agencies, education stakeholders, and community organizationsManage faculty performance reviews, class observations, and developmental feedback sessionsProvide conflict resolution and mediation support for faculty, staff, and studentsSupport enrollment management, retention strategies, and student success initiativesLead faculty onboarding, mentoring, and professional development planningFacilitate interdisciplinary collaboration with other university departments and schoolsCoordinate use of campus facilities, technology, simulation labs, and instructional resourcesManage purchasing requests and resource allocations in consultation with the DeanRepresent the School of Nursing in university-wide leadership meetings, initiatives, and public engagementsSupport the development and implementation of grants and externally funded projectsPerform other duties as assigned by the DeanRequired QualificationsMaster's in Nurisng in from an accredited institution (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)Minimum of two years of academic administrative experience, including teaching, budgeting, and personnel supervision at the college levelCertifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:Unencumbered RN license in Oklahoma or eligibility for licensure (must obtain before hire)Preferred QualificationsDoctorateActive enrollment in an accredited doctoral program with documented progress may be considered with a signed agreement for completionSkills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:Demonstrated leadership in accreditation, curriculum development, and faculty developmentArea of specialization in Adult Health (Medical-Surgical) or Childrearing (Pediatrics) Advertised: 12 Jun 2025 Central Daylight Time Applications close: Whatsapp Facebook LinkedIn Email App
