This per diem role provides essential pharmacy support in a specialized HIV/AIDS retail environment, requiring a licensed pharmacist experienced in typical dispensing duties. Coverage is needed to assist through key days in the summer and holiday period, including coverage for sick calls. Key Responsibilities: Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions in a retail pharmacy setting Check and verify medication orders for accuracy Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations Utilize Pioneer Rx software for prescription management Provide knowledgeable support, with expertise in HIV/AIDS medications considered a strong advantage Qualifications: Must hold a valid Kentucky pharmacist license Experience with retail pharmacy operations Familiarity with HIV/AIDS medication therapy preferred but not mandatory Ability to supervise and lead pharmacy technical staff Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Schedule: Wednesday, 5/13: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Thursday, 5/14: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Friday, 5/15: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Optional 4-hour paid training session available prior to coverage dates Location: Shepherdsville, KY This per diem opportunity is ideal for pharmacists who thrive in a fast-paced retail setting and want to provide specialized care for patients managing HIV/AIDS.
