Familiar with instruments Vitros 250, Sysmex XS/KX, Sysmex CA560, Stratus CS. Blood Bank methods- Tube ABO/RH testing- IDMTS Gel Antibody Screen and Xmatch. Manual Test such as Body Fluid (CSF, synovial fluids, other body fluid) that includes cell counts, gram stain, crystal ID, Manual WBC differential, manual urine microscopic.Will have to do specimen collection including venipunctures/heelsticks of infants to adults patients.Familiar with the Sunquest/MISYS Laboratory Information System.Able to work alone doing all testing required. Work shifts typically 7:00am-3:30pm, 3:30pm-12:00am. On call shifts 2400hrs-0700hrs. Must be within 20 minutes of hospital when on call.***MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ANY SHIFT (DAY, NIGHT, OR GRAVEYARD)***2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)Lab instrumentation as indicated in 1. General job duties.Sunquest (MISYS) Laboratory Computer System.Lab instrumentation: Vitros 250 Chemistry Analyzer, Sysmex XS1000i/KX-21N Hematology Analyzer, Stratus CS, Biosite Triage Meter, Helmer Plasma thawer, Cyto-Tek centrifuge, IDMTS Gel System, Clinitek STATUS, Sysmex CA560 Coagulation Analyzer3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.Able to work alone doing all aspect of laboratory task to include specimen procurement by venipuncture or heelstick of infants to adults patients.At least 1 year of experience and able to perform general job duties, familiar with equipment, and able to procure specimens as indicated above4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)State of Hawaii Department of Health Clinical Laboratory License (Category TECHNOLOGIST), BLS5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)Employee will work alone, and weekends. Usually every other weekend ..depends on stafing requirements.
