A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Cath Lab Technician to provide critical imaging support in a dynamic cardiovascular setting. This travel position is based in Livingston, CA, and involves working primarily within one cath lab, with plans to expand to two labs as procedural volume grows. Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures including PCIs, peripheral interventions, nephrostomy tube placements, and IVC filter insertions. Operate imaging equipment such as GE fluoroscopy systems effectively. Collaborate with RNs who circulate during procedures, aiding in smooth workflow and patient safety. Utilize software systems including Cerner, Sensis, and Merge to document and manage patient information. Provide guidance and training to new nursing staff based on clinical experience. Maintain current certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and Fluoroscopy competency. Participate in day shifts, primarily 8-hour schedules with case volumes ranged between zero to six daily. Qualifications & Experience: Proven expertise as a Cath Lab Tech with comprehensive knowledge of catheterization procedures. Experience with balloon pumps is highly desired. STEMI case management experience is an advantage; note that STEMI patients are transferred to a nearby center. Ability to support a fast-paced environment and adapt to varying case demands. Valid certifications in ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and Fluoroscopy required. Proficiency in Cerner, Sensis, and Merge software platforms.
