Scientist III – Immunology / In Vitro Assays | 24-Month Contract | Ridgefield, CT Location: Ridgefield, CT (Onsite/Hybrid) Duration: 24 Months Company: Sigma Systems Job ID: 37099280 Job Overview Sigma Systems is seeking a Scientist III to join the Immunology & Respiratory Discovery Sciences Team. This role focuses on developing innovative therapies for immune-mediated diseases through advanced in vitro assay development and immune profiling. You will collaborate within a global, cross-functional research team to design and execute experiments that support target validation, compound profiling, and translational research. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, validate, and execute in vitro assays for: Target validation Compound profiling Hit identification and validation Perform lymphocyte functional assays (T cells & B cells) Conduct immune phenotyping and functional assays, including: Multicolor flow cytometry (10+ colors) ICS (Intracellular Cytokine Staining) ELISpot assays Cell proliferation assays Cytokine analysis (ELISA/MSD) Collaborate with project leads and scientific teams to ensure high-quality data delivery Maintain accurate documentation using electronic lab notebooks (ELN) Analyze and interpret experimental data using: Prism FlowJo OMIQ Excel Present findings in team and scientific meetings Contribute to assay troubleshooting, optimization, and knowledge sharing Required Qualifications Master’s degree in Immunology, Biology, Cell Biology, or related field + 4+ years experience OR Bachelor’s degree in STEM field + 7+ years experience Preferred Qualifications Experience with: In vitro assay development and validation Lymphocyte biology (T cells, B cells) Hands-on experience in: Flow cytometry (multicolor panels) ELISpot, ICS, ELISA/MSD assays Exposure to: CRISPR / gene knockdown techniques Experience in pharma, biotech, or life sciences industry (preferred but not required) Key Skills (SEO Keywords) Immunology Scientist, In Vitro Assays, Flow Cytometry, FACS, ELISpot, ELISA, Cytokine Analysis, Lymphocyte Assays, T Cells, B Cells, CRISPR, Gene Knockdown, Immune Profiling, Drug Discovery, Biotech, Pharmaceutical Research, Prism, FlowJo, OMIQ
