A travel pharmacy opportunity is available at a well-established, 300-bed hospital serving the Auburn/Opelika area in East Alabama. This role involves working predominantly day shifts Monday through Friday, with start times varying between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, and concluding at 4:30 PM. The position focuses mainly on verifying prescriptions with minimal sterile compounding responsibilities, which, while not required, would be considered a valuable asset. Key Responsibilities: Review and verify inpatient medication orders for safety, appropriateness, and accuracy. Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy. Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Utilize Cerner pharmacy information system for order processing and documentation. Qualifications and Experience: Active Alabama pharmacist license is required. At least 6 months to 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience. Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system. Experience in sterile compounding is desirable but not mandatory. Location: Auburn/Opelika area, East Alabama.
