Now Hiring: Human Resources District ManagerLocation: May be based in any one of the following Fleet Farm locations: Ankeny, IA, Carver, MN, Cedar Falls, IA, Cedar Rapids, IA, Hastings, MN, Lakeville, MN, Mankato, MN, Mason City, IA, Owatonna, MN, Rapid City, SD, Sioux Falls, SD, Sioux City, SD, Waukee, IA Fleet Farm is seeking a strategic, field-focused HR leader to serve as the senior Human Resources partner for an assigned district. This role is responsible for translating enterprise people strategy into strong, consistent execution across multiple stores and distribution centers.As a player-coach, you will lead a team of HR Generalists while serving as a trusted advisor to District and Regional Operations leaders. This role requires strong judgment, executive presence, and deep expertise in employee relations, talent development, and workforce strategy.Key Responsibilities:Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3-5 HR Generalists supporting stores across the districtEstablish clear expectations, priorities, and performance standards for field HR executionProvide guidance on case management, investigations, and leader supportEnsure consistent application of HR policies, practices, and processesDrive district-level recruitment planning in partnership with Talent Acquisition and field leadershipAnticipate hiring needs based on turnover, seasonality, growth, and business prioritiesPartner with General Managers and District leaders to proactively address workforce planning and talent risksMonitor recruiting effectiveness and adjust strategies to meet business needsServe as the escalation point for complex, high-risk, or high-sensitivity employee relations mattersLead or oversee investigations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace violence, and ethics concernsEnsure investigations are conducted promptly, consistently, and in compliance with policy and employment lawPartner with Legal and senior HR leadership on sensitive outcomes and risk mitigation strategiesInterpret and apply HR policies across diverse field scenariosIdentify policy gaps or inconsistencies and provide feedback to HR leadershipSupport change management efforts related to new or updated HR policiesLead execution of district-level talent initiatives, including manager coaching, 360-feedback processes, succession planning, and talent reviewsAssess bench strength and leadership readiness in partnership with field leadersCoach leaders through performance management, development planning, and corrective action conversationsServe as a trusted HR advisor to District and Regional Operations leadersTranslate enterprise HR initiatives into actionable field execution plansProvide data-driven insights and recommendations based on field trends and employee feedbackRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience7+ years of progressive HR experience, including field HR leadershipProven experience leading in a multi-site environmentDeep expertise in employee relations, investigations, and HR policy administrationStrong knowledge of employment law and HR risk managementPreferred QualificationsRetail, distribution, or hospitality industry experienceExperience partnering closely with Legal and executive-level field leadershipWhy You'll Love Working at Fleet Farm:Be part of a growing, purpose-driven companyLead high-performing teams with autonomy and impactCompetitive compensation and benefitsOpportunities for career growth and advancementA culture rooted in community, integrity, and hard workReady to Drive Success?
