This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates and early-career pharmacists who are passionate about compounding and personalized patient care. We provide comprehensive hands-on training and mentorship to help you build a rewarding career in non-sterile compounding pharmacy. This role is based in Lancaster, PA. Candidates open to relocation are encouraged to apply - relocation assistance is provided.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in all aspects of commercial pharmacy dispensing, including prospective DUR, PV1 and PV2Prepare customized non-sterile compounded medications including troches, tablets, creams, ointments, capsules, suspensions, solutions, and other dosage forms in accordance with physician orders and established formulationsFollow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Master Formulation Records (MFRs), and Compounding Records (CRs) to ensure accuracy, consistency, and complianceAssist in the creation of new SOPs and FormulationsEnsure full compliance with USP General Chapter standards for non-sterile compounding and USP for hazardous drug handlingPerform and document quality assurance checks including potency, pH, weight variation, and visual inspections on all compounded preparationsReview and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, chemical compatibility, and stability prior to compoundingMaintain the compounding environment to required standards including proper sanitation, temperature, humidity, and equipment calibrationProvide patient counseling on compounded medications, including proper use, storage, and potential side effectsCollaborate with prescribers to develop and optimize patient-specific formulations when standard commercially available products are not suitableMaintain accurate and complete documentation including compounding records, inventory records, and beyond-use datingStay current with state and federal regulations, Board of Pharmacy requirements, and industry best practices related to compoundingParticipate in training programs, continuing education, and professional development opportunities provided by LifeMD PharmacyRequirementsRequiredDoctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or Bachelor's in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited institutionActive Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in good standing (or eligible for licensure prior to start date)Strong foundational knowledge of pharmaceutics, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical calculationsExcellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and patient safetyAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and complianceStrong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with coworkers, healthcare providers and patientsWillingness to learn and grow under the direct guidance of an experienced compounding mentorPreferred (Not Required)Previous compounding experience through rotations, internships, or elective courseworkFamiliarity with USP and guidelinesExperience with compounding software and pharmacy management systemsCompletion of or enrollment in a compounding certificate program (e.g., APhA, PCCA, or equivalent)What We OfferMentorship program designed specifically for new graduates entering non-sterile compoundingOpportunities for professional growth and advancement within LifeMD PharmacyCompetitive compensation and benefits packageSupportive, team-oriented work environment with a focus on quality patient careContinuing education support and professional development resourcesPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods during compounding activitiesManual dexterity to handle compounding equipment, measuring devices, and small quantities of ingredientsAbility to lift up to 55 pounds (ingredient containers, supplies)Visual acuity for reading prescriptions, measuring volumes, and inspecting compounded preparationsBenefitsBase Salary: $100,000 - $125,000Relocation Assistance Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (Roth 401k)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Flexible PTO PolicyPaid HolidaysShort Term DisabilityTraining & Development
