About the Role and Team Talent Space is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist for our SaaS client in the SF/Bay Area. Scope of Work Analytics & Decision Support Translate product and GTM questions into clear analytical plans. Deep-dive into user behavior, funnel conversion, retention, and monetization. Own definition, monitoring, and iteration of core metrics, such as activation, conversion, WAU/MAU, and churn. Modeling & Experimentation Own the design and analysis of key experiments for Rovo Adoption. Run power analyses, define success metrics and guardrails, ensure statistical rigor. Provide clear experiment readouts and recommendations. Build and validate models like propensity/churn models and cohort/segmentation approaches. Data Products, Dashboards & Documentation Lead the team to create and maintain reusable SQL and Python assets, such as queries and notebooks. Build or refine dashboards in Tableau for executive and operational views, including funnel drop-offs, experiment performance, and cohort tracking. Document metric definitions, data sources, and analytical frameworks for future maintenance. Stakeholder Partnership Act as a data partner for Head of Community & Learning. Communicate insights to support decision-making and prioritization through clear written summaries and live presentations. Proactively identify opportunities for impact, such as tests to run, segments to target, and friction to remove. Experience 8 years total in data science/product analytics. Relevant domains: B2B SaaS, marketing data, and customer experience. Technical Fit Proficient in SQL for complex analytical queries on large datasets. Experience in experiment design and statistical analysis. Familiar with Databricks, Tableau, and Python/R for analysis and modeling. Experience with event-based product data. Behavioral & Collaboration Fit Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited oversight. Communicate clearly with senior, non-technical stakeholders. Move from analysis to concrete recommendations and follow-through. Systems & Access Access to relevant data warehouses, BI tools, code repositories, and collaboration tools will be granted on a least-privilege basis.
