Job Title

This is a seasonal position beginning in June and continuing for 10 weeks. Summer earnings is $4,050.The Camp Specialist designs and leads safe, engaging, and age-appropriate specialty programs that support the camp's mission. This role requires strong instructional skills, leadership, and enthusiasm for working with children. Camp Specialists supervise and motivate staff, manage program equipment and spaces, and actively participate in all camp activities, including theme days and special programs.Specialty Areas Available:Arts & Crafts, Archery (training provided), Israeli Culture, Dance, Outdoor Cooking, Sports, Nature, MusicKey ResponsibilitiesDesign and deliver engaging specialty programs aligned with camper ages and abilitiesDevelop and implement progressive lesson plans and adapt activities as neededEnsure safety procedures are followed and model best practicesTrain and support staff within the specialty areaMaintain program spaces, equipment, and suppliesCommunicate regularly with campers, staff, and supervisorsParticipate in all camp activities, meetings, and special eventsQualificationsExperience working in a summer camp or youth programExperience teaching or leading activities for children and/or teensFirst Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before camp)Strong communication, organization, and leadership skillsAbility to work outdoors, remain flexible, and maintain high energyPhysical & Other RequirementsAbility to stand, lift up to 50 lbs., and respond to emergenciesComfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditionsMust pass a Michigan background and central registry checkCompletion of required Sexual Abuse Prevention training prior to startThis is a hands-on, high-energy role ideal for individuals passionate about youth development and leading dynamic specialty programs.Monday through Friday 8 a.m. through 3:30 p.m.Working 37.5 hours per week
