Natorp NurseryNursery Team Member - Job DescriptionMason OhioSummary & Responsibilities: A Team Member will be integrated into the wholesale Production Nursery. Team members will focus on production of shrubs, perennials, trees, annuals, and propagation. The team member is responsible for carrying out job duties as directed by their immediate supervisor or Team Leader. Team members will have the opportunity to work on a large scale "plant farm" where millions of plants are grown annually. Team members will have a hands-on approach as they learn the aspects of the Natorp Operation such as, but not limited to the following:Assisting on the potting lines or on set-downAssist propagation by seeding, taking cuttings and sticking cuttingsCulturing plants - spacing, trimming, pruning, fertilizing, and weedingAssist order harvest & assembly - pulling a variety of plant material out of growing areasPhysical Demands:A Team Member's job requires a degree of physical endurance, an ability to work with and around a variety of plants and equipment.Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold and wet conditionsAbility to work in a fast pace agricultural environmentAbility to walk or stand on concrete or gravelAbility to bend, pull, reach, and lift a maximum of 50 poundsMental Demands:Ability to understand simple instructions (Written, Verbal and Demonstrated) and carry them out with minimal supervisionAbility to perform a variety of tasksAbility to work in a team atmosphereAbility to work independentlyStarting Pay: $19.57 /hrFull-time Positions available - 40 hour a week minimum required, Busy season OT availablePTO, Health, Dental, Vision - after 90 days401K available - after 1 year
