A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist at a 200+ bed community hospital in the Alexandria, LA area. This role offers a dynamic schedule with four 10-hour shifts per week, including rotating hours (6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM) and every other weekend coverage. Responsibilities: Verify medication orders with accuracy and compliance Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow Consult regularly with physicians and nursing staff regarding pharmacotherapy and patient care Perform pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring Utilize healthcare technologies, including EPIC and Pyxis, to support clinical decision-making Desired Experience and Qualifications: Current licensure as a Pharmacist in the applicable state Experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting preferred Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems Strong communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration BLS certification through the American Heart Association Location: Alexandria, Louisiana Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week Rotating schedule: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM - 11:00 PM Every other weekend coverage required This position is ideal for a detail-oriented pharmacist who thrives in a community hospital environment and enjoys working alongside clinical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
