The successful candidate will provide comprehensive dermatologic care, including general dermatology, medical dermatology, and surgical dermatology services to our veteran population predominantly while supervising trainees from our two affiliate institutions. Duties include, but are not limited to: Clinical Care: * Provide high-quality dermatologic care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. * Our Dermatology clinics are high volume serving a wide spectrum of including general dermatology, complex medical dermatology, and cutaneous oncology. * The majority of patient care is provided in a supervisory role with resident physicians. * Opportunities to provider virtual care in our robust teledermatology consultation hub. * Collaborative work with physicians in other subspecialties. * Performing inpatient Dermatology consults with a resident. * Participate in one-on-one patient care sessions without resident may be necessary. Academic Teaching: * Clinically supervising, teaching, and mentoring dermatology residents and medical students during clinical rotations from our two affiliate institutions. * Opportunities to participate in clinical case discussions, didactics educational sessions, journal clubs, cutaneous oncology tumor board, and to conduct teaching rounds. * Mentoring fellows or residents' research or QI project within SLVHCS. * Evaluate resident performance and provide constructive feedback to facilitate learning and professional development.
