Title: Temp - Technologist - Computed Tomography (CT) (Nights) Tawas City, MIDescription: This position assists the radiologist and other physicians withhigh quality, computerized tomographic and radiographic imagesrequired in part for the diagnosis and treatment of patients while ensuring the least amount of radiation exposure to oneself and thepatient. Provides general care to the patient while in thedepartment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(35%)*Performs computer tomography studies following protocol. Is able to differentiate between normal and abnormal anatomy and will tailorexams in accordance with patient history obtained, protocol, andRadiologist instruction.(30%)*Administers IV and oral contrast as required for proceduresaccording to protocols. Follows departmental protocol andinstitution guidelines for delivery of IV contrast material. Monitors patients physical and mental condition throughout theentire procedures. Records any and all patient data appropriately.(20%)*Provides radiation protection for patients, self and others usinggonadal shielding and collimation where applicable. Documentacknowledgment of scheduling as directed.(15%)*Performs nursing duties, including but not limited to thefollowing: assisting the radiologist in the performance of sterileprocedures, practicing sterile technique, obtain vital signs, obtain pertinent clinical history, and must be proficient in venouspuncture. Will document any and all important data appropriately.Will be able to identify an allergic reaction or any other urgent medical condition and will notify and assist the radiologist in thetreatment of such a situation.SCHEDULE: Wed - Fri: 10:30P - 7ASat - Tues: 6:30P - 7A7 on, 7 off
