How you'll contribute The Senior Mammography Technologist performs advanced mammographic and radiographic procedures under the direction of the Leader of Imaging Services, Radiologist, and Supervisor, exercising independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to produce high‑quality diagnostic images. This role oversees the daily operations of the mammography department, including scheduling, supply procurement, workflow coordination, and adherence to PI, ACR, and MQSA guidelines. The technologist assumes responsibility for designated procedures and areas as needed and ensures compliance with hospital policies and Standards of Behavior. This position requires strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment. Non‑essential responsibilities may include participation in meetings and committees, assisting with receptionist or transport duties, completing work orders, managing supplies, and working scheduled shifts or overtime as needed.
