OPTIM MEDICAL CENTER TATTNALL is seeking a full time Maintenance Technician for Reidsville, GA.Primary Duties: Hospital maintenance job descriptionPosition SummaryThe Hospital Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of general and skilled maintenance tasks to ensure the hospital's infrastructure, equipment, and systems remain fully operational, safe, and compliant with healthcare regulations. This role supports patient care by maintaining a clean, functional, and safe environment.Key Responsibilities• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility systems.• Respond promptly to maintenance service requests and emergencies.• Conduct routine inspections of hospital infrastructure and systems.• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and equipment reports.• Follow infection control and safety protocols when working in patient care areas.• Collaborate with other departments to minimize disruption to hospital operations.• Assist in snow removal, landscaping, and other exterior facility upkeep as needed.• Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and safely stored.• Comply with all hospital policies, regulatory guidelines, and OSHA safety standards.• Must be able to rotate call.Required Qualifications• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility maintenance or related field (hospital or healthcare experience preferred).• Knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.• Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and maintenance manuals.• Basic computer skills (e.g., work order systems).• Valid driver's license.Physical and Health Requirements• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights.• Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, and work on feet for extended periods.• Must complete and pass a yearly physical examination to ensure fitness for duty, as required by system policy and occupational health standards.• Must meet immunization requirements and pass annual heath testing, as required by healthcare regulations.Preferred Qualifications• Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems.• Experience working in accredited facility.• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).Working Conditions• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to noise, dust, hazardous materials, and varying temperatures.• Must be available for on-call duty, weekend shifts, and emergency maintenance calls as needed.EEO StatementOptim Health System is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable laws regarding nondiscrimination.
