POSITION SUMMARYAs a Lead Safety Professional at Fergusons Downtown, you serve as both a safety leader and frontline ambassador, responsible for maintaining a secure, welcoming, and well-coordinated environment for guests, tenants, team members, and event participants. This role combines safety enforcement, property oversight, and guest engagement with leadership responsibilities, including supervising team members, coordinating daily operations, and supporting management in implementing policies and procedures.You lead by example, ensuring all interactions reflect Fergusons' values of hospitality, safety, integrity, and community, while proactively identifying risks, guiding staff, and enhancing the overall guest experience.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLeadership & Team CoordinationServe as a role model for Safety Professionals and Greeters, fostering a positive, professional, and inclusive work environmentTrain, mentor, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team membersAssist in creating and managing team schedules, including shift coverage, breaks, and time-off coordinationEnsure proper execution of opening and closing procedures across safety and front-of-house operationsPromote clear communication between Safety, FOH, Events, and Management teamsSupport management in implementing policies, procedures, and operational improvementsAdapt to evolving operational needs and contribute to continuous improvementSafety, Security & EnforcementEnforce Fergusons' safety policies, house rules, and applicable laws with professionalism and consistencyRespond to incidents, assess risks, and determine appropriate actionSupport conflict resolution involving guests, tenants, or team membersMonitor and respond to security radio communicationsPerform ID checks and restrict access to controlled areas when necessarySupport detainment procedures when required, following company policy and legal standardsMaintain control of incident scenes while ensuring safety and dignity for all partiesEnsure compliance with the City Security Plan and all safety protocolsPatrolling & SurveillanceConduct regular and hourly property walks across all Fergusons locationsMonitor surveillance systems and identify suspicious activity or potential risksEnsure doors, gates, and locks are secure at all timesMaintain strong working knowledge of property layout for efficient navigation and rapid responseIdentify hazards and either resolve immediately or escalate appropriatelyGuest Experience & Community EngagementActively greet and welcome guests, providing a friendly and approachable presenceProvide directions, property orientation, and recommendationsAssist with guest needs, concerns, and general inquiriesSupport events through crowd control, check-ins, and logisticsCollaborate with Greeters and Event Staff to ensure seamless operationsMaintain accurate counts of guests entering and exiting when requiredProperty Oversight & OperationsConduct property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readinessRemove hazards and submit maintenance requests as neededLog incidents, write detailed reports, and complete witness statementsAssist maintenance teams with site access and authorizationHandle and log mail/package deliveries for tenants and notify recipientsMonitor trash pickups and escalate delays to prevent sanitation issuesAssist with furniture movement, weather protocols, and site setup as neededEvents, Communication & ReportingMaintain awareness of daily and weekly event schedulesCommunicate event details, including ticketing or restricted access, to staff and guestsTrack and report foot traffic and operational insights to managementUtilize company communication tools (e.g., email, Slack, GSuite) effectivelyEnsure all incidents, hazards, and violations are reported promptlyADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONSAttend all required training sessions and safety briefingsMaintain strong knowledge of Fergusons' layout, tenants, and offeringsContinuously look for opportunities to improve safety and guest experienceUphold Fergusons' culture, values, and community-focused ethosPerform other duties as assigned by managementJOB QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 2 years of experience in safety, security, or customer-facing rolesAt least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role preferredStrong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skillsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAbility to remain calm and effective under pressureProfessional appearance and demeanor at all timesWorking knowledge of safety procedures, local laws, and ordinances (or willingness to learn)Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GSuite, Slack, or similar toolsStrong familiarity with Downtown Las Vegas preferredMust be 21 years of age or olderHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAbility to obtain required certifications (e.g., Sheriff's Card, TAM Card)Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysWORKING CONDITIONSAbility to walk, stand, and remain active for extended periodsFrequent lifting up to 50 lbs;
