The School of Nursing at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais seeks full-time faculty member for mental health/medical-surgical nursing instruction. A successful candidate will have at least five years of mental health/medical-surgical experience and nursing education experience to provide didactic and clinical instruction in the undergraduate nursing program.? Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Skillfully educate nursing students in a variety of courses, based on the needs of the undergraduate School of Nursing.? * Provide clinical instruction at various health care facilities.? * Facilitate learning in the Virtual Learning Center through skill demonstrations and simulations.???? * Engage in various activities and committees within the school, along with participation in university endeavors.?? * Integrate faith and learning within classroom and clinical settings.? Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required * A lifestyle in agreement with the ONU Statement of Mission, Faith, and Lifestyle Covenant. * At least five years of experience in acute care Medical/Surgical. * Previous teaching experience in higher education is an important factor in the hiring process. Additional Information EDUCATION Candidates with a doctorate in nursing or related field will be given preference; a master's degree in nursing is required. Applicants need to be willing to pursue a doctorate in nursing or a related field if not presently in evidence.? WORK ENVIRONMENT 9-month, full-time faculty position.? Pleasant work environment on the main campus of ONU in Bourbonnais, Illinois.?Travel required to clinical sites. Primary interaction with BSN Program Director.?
