We are looking to hire a highly motivated per diem MRI Technologist in Walnut Creek, California.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Perform MRI procedures on patients with a referral from a medical provider.Explain MRI procedure to patientsCommunicate with patient during MRI procedureCapacity to follow ordering providers' orders in conjunction with the Radiologist protocolsSensitivity to the physical and psychological needs of the patientsAttention to detail and the ability to multi-taskKnowledge of safe MRI practice as outlined from the ACRSubmit images per ACR guidelines every four years for re-accreditation.Comply with safety regulations involving the use of MRI to protect yourself, patients and other staff members.Call in service for MRI equipment when neededConduct QA on MRI Equipment and keep accurate and up to date logsMust have venipuncture license and the ability to inject contrastCommunicate STAT result to RadiologistFollow-up on STAT results with referring providerKnowledge of budget guidelines for ordering suppliesAttend staff meetings (may occur outside of office hours)Maintain compliance with all company policies and proceduresCommunicate with practice manager on any related issues from aboveCommunicate with Radiologist on MRI best practice as neededPerform related duties as assigned by supervisorRequirements ARRT, CRT, BLS for healthcare providers, venipuncture licensure required3T experience preferredAbility to work Thursday through Sunday between 4-10 hoursMust be able to work extended hours when necessaryMust have sufficient stamina and physical strength to maneuver patients and MRI coilsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customersExcellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook)Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer serviceAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practicesPhysical Requirements:Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standardsCompensation PackageAt BASS Medical Group, we understand that a comprehensive, high quality, and affordable health benefits program is now more essential than ever.
