We are seeking an Afterschool Health Office Coordinator to support K-3 students during our Afterschool program. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with this age group, and have some experience working in a school nursing office or medical field. The Health Office Coordinator is a member of the afterschool program staff and reports to the Director of Afterschool Programs, while working closely with Dalton's nursing team. Responsibilities:Manage the 91st Street Health Office from 3:00-6:00 PM dailyServe as the first point of contact for any health and wellness issues during the afterschool programAdminister first aid for basic injuriesConsult with on-duty RN (located at Dalton's 89th Street campus) regarding any concernsCommunicate with families regarding any injury or illnessSupervise students who need to be picked upDocument incidents in Dalton's student medical records software programAssist with arrival and dismissal from the afterschool programQualifications:High school diploma or GED (Bachelor's Degree preferred)Required Certifications:First Aid CertificationCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) CertificationAdditional training will be provided by Dalton's nursing team Special consideration will be given to candidates with more advanced medical training (such as EMT, CNA or MAT)Experience working with students in grades K-3Excellent judgment and ability to work calmly under pressureStrong communication and organizational skillsThe Dalton School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, ethnic origin, age, physical disability, sexual orientation, or any other category protected by applicable law in the administration of our educational policies, hiring policies, admissions policies, financial aid programs, athletics, and other school-administered programs.Application Instructions To apply, please submit a resume and cover letter to the employment portal using the following link -
